Casa de Paz in February
Picture above is a guest from Mexico, who was welcomed to Casa de Paz just this week. Like the other 26 guests who came to Casa last month, he was hopeful and overjoyed that he was free. While not many people are being released now, we continue to advocate and assist those individuals who remain detained. Our work continues to change. We are finding the most meaningful and impactful ways to make a difference for those who've been impacted by immigrant detention. Check out how you can help below!

Helping our detained friends with commissary
The latest ICE Accountability Reportfrom a month ago, claims there were 1,116 individuals detained at the Aurora Immigration Detention Center. With less releases and more ICE sightings and arrests in our community, we anticipate the number will only continue to increase.
Consider donating to our commissary assistance fund, so that together, we can gift someone in detention a few dollars to make phone calls or purchase necessary items, such as tampons - which are a luxury item in detention with a cost of $6.95.
OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT
Join our On-Call Drivers Signal Group: A few weeks ago, we had zero releases but then the following week, we had several but no volunteers to drive. By joining this group, you will receive a group message when we are in need of drivers and if you're available - just let us know by sending us a message and we will add you to that day's group.
Gift Card Drive: Per TSA as of now, our guests are not able to travel by air anymore and are having to take a bus back to their families. What used to be a 3 hour flight, has now turned into a 24+ hour trip. Consider hosting a Gift Card Drive so our guests can all leave with money for meals during their long-hours trip back with their families.
Pizza Donation: Email us or text us to coordinate a pizza delivery donation.
