Come celebrate International Migrants Day with Casa de Paz!
Saturday, Dec 18
Both in-person and virtual parties
Sign up here and receive your Casa de Paz party favor - a FREE holiday mug!
If you're in town for the party, swing by our home for a masked, outdoor drive-by event. Loving immigrant mothers will be around during the day filling up the empty mugs with warm, delicious, homemade hot chocolate!
You're invited to bring something to the celebration that reminds you of a strong, loving immigrant woman in your family’s story.
Sarah Jackson (our co-executive director) will be wearing her hair in braids to honor her paternal great-grandmother, a member of the Choctaw tribe. She'll also bring a fresh-baked croissant to honor her maternal grandmother who fled Poland to escape the Nazis and found safety and a new beginning (AND her future husband!) in France.
A few other details
Daryle Conquering Bear Crow, our friend from the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe, will use traditional medicine as a virtual smudge/sage and pray to begin our celebration
Come find out who our new co-executive director is (Hint hint: she's probably not who you think it is!)
Kevin Vargas will lead us in a moment of silence to honor the lives of migrants who died crossing borders around the world this year
