Weekly Guest Update
Over the last two weeks, Casa de Paz has hosted 130 guests. We are always excited to welcome new friends! Bienvenidos!
We’ve received some questions around when people are being released. Unfortunately, we don’t really have an answer. We are seeing people being released all throughout the day. Some days we see a total of 5 people, some days we see 50+. GEO is currently also releasing folks at various times throughout the day. Michelle and Martin are currently taking turns sitting outside of GEO waiting for our friends to be released. It would be helpful for people who’ve been at the welcome van before to sign up for a shift!
A week ago, we also had a group of volunteers alongside our hosts clean up the back yard. Look at how beautiful it turned out. No more weeds and they even cut the grass :)

Recently, English and Spanish Marketing helped us make our website more inclusive by adding a translation tool that allows for the website to be translated to 5 different languages. We’re hoping that when our friends open our website they feel welcomed by seeing that they can view it in their language. We are also hoping to have more languages available in the future.

Welcome Alondra!
Alondra is our newest member at Casa de Paz. She is our Executive Assistant! You can also find Alondra’s bio here. Alondra volunteers with Cartas de Paz and helps Wayne scan letters. She is currently in school and when we needed to fill a part time position she was the perfect match! She does everything without hesitation, asks all the good questions, and is already 3 tasks ahead of what I’m thinking. Thanks for being part of Casa de Paz! We are so lucky to have you.

Actualización semanal de invitados
En las últimas dos semanas, Casa de Paz ha recibido a 130 invitados. ¡Siempre estamos emocionados de dar la bienvenida a nuevos amigos! ¡Bienvenidos!
Hemos recibido algunas preguntas sobre cuándo se liberará a las personas. Desafortunadamente, realmente no tenemos una respuesta. Estamos viendo personas liberadas durante todo el día. Algunos días vemos un total de 5 personas, algunos días vemos más de 50. Actualmente, GEO también está liberando gente durante diferentes horas del dia. Michelle y Martin actualmente se turnan para sentarse afuera de GEO esperando que liberen a nuestros amigos. ¡Sería útil que las personas que han estado en la camioneta de bienvenida antes se registren para un turno!
Hace una semana, también tuvimos un grupo de voluntarios junto con nuestros anfitriones que limpiaron el patio trasero. Mira lo hermoso que quedó. No más malas hierbas y hasta cortan el césped :)

Recientemente, English and Spanish Marketing nos ayudó a hacer que nuestro sitio web fuera más inclusivo al agregar una herramienta de traducción que permite que el sitio web se traduzca a 5 idiomas diferentes.
